I also wish to pay tribute to the former Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Rob
Hulls. Through 16 years of parliamentary service and through the various
portfolios he managed, including as Attorney-General and Deputy Premier, Rob
Hulls leaves behind an enormous record of achievement, which has included the
establishment of Koori Courts; greater support for victims, including victims of
domestic violence; eliminating discrimination and the introduction of the
Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities.

I believe he was Victoria’s best Attorney-General, and I was
proud to work as his parliamentary secretary for five years. His hard work and
passion for helping others has made Victoria a better and fairer place. I wish
Rob, Carolyn and their children all the very best for the future.
