I rise to speak today on the coalition's horror second state budget, a budget that has overwhelmingly failed Victoria's families and its young people.

issue of Auslan courses in Victoria on behalf of the Labor opposition.
My matter is for the Minister for Ageing. I wish to raise a matter that is particularly timely, given that last Friday, 15 June, was World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.

On 18 May I was pleased to attend the 2012 Victorian Education Excellence Awards along with other opposition members, including Steve Herbert, James Merlino and Colin Brooks, the Assembly members for Eltham, Monbulk and Bundoora.
On 29 May I visited the Mahogany Rise Child and Family Centre in Frankston.
The matter that I wish to raise concerns the loss of the school bus service that transports children to Rupanyup Primary School, Murtoa College and the Minyip and Rupanyup kindergartens from the start of term 3, on 16 July.
I have recently expressed my concerns about the Baillieu government's decision to rip $290 million from Victoria's TAFE sector, and in particular how this relates to my local TAFE institutes.
On Friday I was pleased to attend Victoria's 2012 early childhood education conference, Together We Grow, organised by Kindergarten Parents Victoria and
Gowrie Victoria at Caulfield Racecourse.
The Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody formed the inspiration for the Victorian Aboriginal Justice Agreement, a partnership entered into by the former Bracks Labor government and the Koori community in 2000 to achieve improved justice outcomes for Kooris.
