Our public health team will be stepping up community awareness of coronavirus and boosting testing in targeted areas as part of a new plan to find the virus in Victorian hotspots and contain the spread.
Starting in Brimbank and Casey, a team of 50 staff will be going door to door to ensure locals understand the virus, where to get tested and how to access financial support if they need to self isolate.
We have established new pop up drive through clinics to test people at Keilor Community Hub, Keilor Downs, Carroll Lane Car Park (off Cheltenham Road), Dandenong and Northern Health’s Craigieburn Centre and we have also extended the opening hours of the IPC Health Deer Park drive through site to include weekends.
In addition, the following testing sites have extended their operating hours until Sunday from 8am to 7pm:
Our message is clear – if you’re sick, stay home and if you have even the mildest symptoms get tested.
Even if an area doesn’t currently have active cases, the risk is always there in every Victorian community, and we must all stay safe.
