Hundreds of students with disabilities across Reservoir and the inner north of Melbourne will benefit from better classrooms and school buildings thanks to a funding injection by the Andrews Labor Government.

Member for Preston Robin Scott and Member for Northern Metropolitan Region Jenny Mikakos today announced $2.2 million in funding for the Northern School for Autism, for an upgrade to give students the best buildings and classrooms so they can have the very best education.

Victoria’s special schools provide an important option for families of children with disabilities – offering specialised education programs and support to ensure every student, wherever they go to school, gets the individual attention they deserve.

The Victorian School Building Authority will now start working with schools to determine the scope of their upgrades and how they can best be delivered.

The Labor Government is building the Education State so every Victorian student can get a great education and every community has access to a great local school.
