GIVING DOCKLANDS KIDS THE SCHOOL FACILITIES THEY DESERVE

Students in Docklands will soon have the modern classrooms and school facilities they need to get the great education they deserve, thanks to a major upgrade by the Andrews Labor Government.

Jenny Mikakos, Member for Northern Metropolitan Region, today announced Monaco Hickey Pty. Ltd. has been awarded the building contract to construct Docklands Primary School.

The $18.8 million project will build the first stage of the Docklands Primary School, consisting of reception, admin area, library, music room, principal’s office, external play area and six learning community areas and terraced outdoor areas.

The Andrews Labor Government is building the Education State so every Victorian student can get a great education and every community has access to a great local school.

This includes an unprecedented $3.8 billion investment to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities and build new schools across the state.

This school building boom has delivered more than 1,300 school upgrades and 70 new school projects across the state, supporting more than 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
