Welcome to my website!

Since 1999 I have been honoured to serve the people of the inner and northern suburbs of Melbourne as one of their Parliamentarians. Under the leadership of Steve Bracks and John Brumby, the Labor Government in Victoria has governed for every suburb, every town and every region.

I am proud to be part of the team that has delivered real outcomes for all Victorians and for the people of the inner and northern suburbs, such as better schools and hospitals, more police, more jobs and increased security for workers, protection for Victoria's most vulnerable, new infrastructure investment and a well-managed economy.

The Bracks and Brumby Labor Governments have also committed to strengthening our democratic institutions, including the Upper House of the Victorian Parliament. Reforms passed in 2006 saw the introduction of proportional representation, fixed term-elections and changed Upper House electoral regions. These reforms meant that in November 2006 I was elected to represent the new Northern Metropolitan Region.
This new region takes in 11 lower house seats: Broadmeadows, Brunswick, Bundoora, Ivanhoe, Melbourne, Mill Park, Northcote, Preston, Richmond, Thomastown, and Yan Yean.
